The Van Wert Farmer's Market is operated Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings June through October.  It is located on the southwest corner of the Van Wert County Fairgrounds

Craft Show & Garage Sales / Van Wert County Fairgrounds /  9 AM - 6 PM

The Van Wert County Fair Board is sponsoring a craft show and garage sale in the Commercial Building along with a Kids Corner in the Red School House including a Fish and Duck Pond and Face Painting.  For more information contact the Fair Board office at 419-238-9270 or visit their web site at www.vanwertcountyfair.com

ArtRageous on Main - Peony Festival Weekend / Downtown Van Wert / 11 AM - 9 PM

A great way to start the summer season!  The festival includes artisans demonstrating and selling their works, a craft show, great festival food, outstanding musical talent, and activities for all ages.  The 3-day event begins at 11 AM today.  A complete schedule of events will be posted here.  For more information, contact the Van Wert Area Convention and Visitors Bureau at 419-238.9378.

3rd Annual Van Wert City Run / Smiley Park /  8 AM

ArtRageous on Main & Annual Peony Festival / Downtown Van Wert / 11 AM - 9 PM

See June 1 for details.   At 5 PM the annual Peony parade will step off down Washington Street.   Tours of area flower gardens are available.

Each year the Peony Festival Committee searches out exemplary gardens from among the many wonderful landscapes of the area to share with the community at large and with visitors.

46th Annual Willshire Days / Willshire Ohio / 6:30PM

The first of this summer's village festivals in Van Wert County is celebrated in Willshire - the original county sea of Van Wert County.  The festival begins this evening with an ice cream social and entertainment.  There will be community-wide garage sales and a craft and flea market.

This year's festival continues with various entertainment for the entire family.  The community-wide garage sales and craft and flea market will also be in operation.

The day begins with a pancake-and-sausage breakfast.  Rides, games, and concessions will begin in the he afternoon.  At 4 PM the annual Willshire Days parade will begin, followed by many other activities in the park, including a chicken barbeque

36th Old Fashioned Farmers' Days / Van Wert County Fairgrounds / 11 AM - 9 PM        

A few of the many attractions at this year's 35th annual Old Fashioned Farmers' Days are antique tractors & machinery, crafts, a flea market, threshing demonstrations, a working sawmill, food vendors, animal land, a car show, mule & donkey show, the Western Ohio Garden Tractor Pullers, antique car racing, an antique tractor pull, corn shredding, a Quilt & Needle art show, and a trading post.  Today's special attraction is a car show from 4 to 7 PM including music and games from the 50's.  There is an admission charge of $3 per day per person or a 3-day pass purchased in advance for $7.  For more information visit their web site, www.oldfashionedfarmers.com
